Budi95 Quota Stays at 200 Litres, Ministry Confirms Glitch

PUTRAJAYA: The Finance Ministry has confirmed that the monthly fuel quota for Budi Madani RON95 (Budi95) recipients remains at 200 litres, despite a recent technical glitch that displayed a reduced limit for some users. The ministry swiftly addressed the issue, assuring beneficiaries that their entitlements are unaffected.
The temporary error caused concern among some Budi95 recipients who noticed a lower fuel quota displayed on their accounts. The Finance Ministry acknowledged the problem and immediately launched an investigation. The ministry’s statement clarifies that the displayed reduction was due to a technical fault and does not reflect any changes to the programme's existing policy.
Budi Madani RON95 is a government initiative designed to provide financial assistance to eligible vehicle owners by subsidising their fuel costs. The 200-litre monthly quota aims to ease the financial burden on these individuals, particularly those who rely on their vehicles for daily commuting or livelihood.
The Finance Ministry has not provided further details regarding the specific nature of the technical error or the steps being taken to prevent similar occurrences in the future. However, they reiterated their commitment to ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of the Budi Madani programme and providing timely updates to recipients. The ministry encourages recipients experiencing any issues to contact their designated channels for assistance.
