BUDI95 Quota Remains 200 Litres After Display Error

Singaporeans can breathe easy – the monthly BUDI95 petrol quota remains at 200 litres, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) confirmed today. A temporary technical glitch briefly displayed a reduced quota of 150 litres late last night, causing confusion amongst motorists.

The error occurred during scheduled system maintenance at 11pm yesterday. MOF acknowledged the issue and swiftly corrected the displayed quota, ensuring the standard 200-litre limit is once again in effect. The ministry did not elaborate on the specific nature of the technical error, only stating that it has been resolved.

The BUDI95 scheme, introduced in 2023, aims to provide targeted support to Singaporean motorists who rely on petrol vehicles. It offers a monthly petrol subsidy of 15 cents per litre for up to 200 litres of petrol. The scheme is part of a broader package of measures designed to help Singaporeans cope with rising cost of living expenses.

Motorists who noticed the incorrect quota displayed are advised that the current allowance is 200 litres. MOF has not indicated whether any further investigation into the technical error is planned. Updates will be posted on the MOF website should any new information become available.
